·   27 – 28 August 2009, Workshop: “Awareness Program for the Pradeshiya Sabha Members of the Kandy District” 

·   15 – 19 March 2010, “INASP-ICES Workshop on Research Writing Skills”, at Hotel Tormaline, Kandy. The workshop was conducted by Prof Barbara Gastel, MD, MPH, Texas A&M University and Mr Bernard Appiah, Author AID Graduate Assistant, Texas A&M University with Sri Lankan co-facilitators, Prof Tudor Silva and Dr S Mahakalanda. The workshop was attended by 41 participants.
