Intersecting Marginalities: Social-exclusion of women with disabilities in Sri Lanka

This paper is a study of women living with disabilities in two regions of Sri Lanka –
Kilinochchi, which was directly affected by the 26-year civil war; and Kandy, less
directly affected by the conflict. The study interviewed 38 women during 2016 and
2017, to understand how gender intersects with disability to increase vulnerability
and hinder social inclusion and participation of women with disability.
