Professor Pradeep Ratnayake is an internationally acclaimed sitarist and composer who has performed at Carnegie Hall, New York, Walt Disney Theatre, Los Angeles, and at the BOZAR, Brussels. His compositions have been played in many countries. His Kuveni Concerto for Sitar and Cello premiered in Germany in 2010. He founded the Department of Music and Creative Technology in the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He was a Fulbrighter at Columbia University, New York from 2008 to 2010
