Shared Sanctities is a publication and documentary film series by Sujeewa de Silva and Hasini Haputhanthri, exploring several heritage sites in Sri Lanka with new eyes. Together it seeks to build a counter-narrative to the current narrative on interreligious and inter-ethnic relations in Sri Lanka. It presents a nuanced interpretation around art, architecture and religion and showcases shared religious traditions, monuments and art as evidence of shared cultural history.

The nine documentaries feature an eminent panel of experts archaeologists, architects, art historians, historians, anthropologists guiding the viewer to interpret these sites and their histories with a fresh perspective. The publication is available at Sarasavi and Vijitha Yapa bookshops and at ICES.
